We are especially passionate about supporting individuals (children, teens, and adults), couples, and families who are experiencing gender transition. This is a unique journey where psychotherapy can assist with supporting, exploring, encouraging, and providing additional resources during all stages of the transition process. We are well connected with local resources such as Stanford Gender Clinic, UCSF Gender Clinic, and Kaiser gender department as well as local physicians and surgeons who directly support transgender clients.
Neurodiversity (ASD, ADHD, 2E, etc.) significantly impacts all aspects of one's life but it does NOT define one's inherent sense of 'self.' Rather than conforming to societal standards, we work with individuals and families to expand the client's sense of autonomy, agency, social competence, and emotional intelligence. Helping neurodiverse clients to flex to various circumstances allows for greater success in executive functioning, academics, career, and social interactions. I also work closely with executive functioning coaches, educational consultants, school personnel, and medical professionals to provide comprehensive care for our patients.
We support persons who have experienced a traumatic situation, inherited generational trauma, or is experiencing vicarious trauma. Through psychosomatic, art, and/or talk therapy, we assist the client in re-framing, integrating, and finding meaning and autonomy in their experience so that they may feel free to create a new narrative and thrive in their life.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Explore the root causes of your depression and learn effective coping strategies to improve your mood and overall well-being. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Grief is a necessary part of the human experience and we support each person through the non-linear and subliminal aspects of grief, whether it is the grief of a loved one, pet, experience, medical condition, an aspect of one's identity, etc.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
